Grief counseling
Berlin & Online
Grief is an existential experience. It shakes the foundations of our lives and changes us –
sometimes forever. Grief support can help you find solid ground beneath your feet again.
Grief is often seen as a problem that needs to be solved.
I believe that allowing yourself to grieve is what helps you learn to live with loss.
My offer is suitable for people
- who are living with a life-limiting diagnosis
- whose loved one is seriously ill or dying
- grieving the death of an important person in their life
- grieving the illness, dying, or death of a beloved animal companion
- who wish to consciously prepare for an upcoming farewell
- who are dealing with a loved one’s belongings and legacy after death
- businesses, organisations, and teams navigating grief and loss in the workplace
I can support you when your loss is very recent, but also many years later. From my perspective, there is no such thing as “it happened too long ago.”
I offer support in Berlin and the surrounding area, and online by arrangement.

Grief needs time and space
Grief needs time and space to:
- understand and acknowledge change
- say goodbye
- mourn the loss and what is missed
- discover what should remain and what can be let go
- remember and maintain a sense of connection
In my grief support, we create this space together, and I support you in finding your footing again.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Every person’s grief journey is unique. There are no fixed stages, rules, or instructions for how grief should unfold.
Grief hurts. It is a complex and deeply individual process that requires time and space. It often comes in waves that rise and recede. Grief may begin long before a loss occurs, and sometimes it only becomes visible later – for example, when the nervous system has been operating in survival mode during a crisis.
Grief Support, Counselling & Coaching
in Berlin & Online
Good grief support is neither therapy nor simply a conversation.
My work combines informative grief counselling with compassionate grief support that helps to ease emotional burdens and foster stability. I do not follow a single fixed method. Every accompaniment is unique and tailored to the individual. Drawing on my experience as a grief companion, death doula, funeral director, and art therapist, I take a holistic approach and draw from a wide range of tools and perspectives.
Every person has the capacity to cope with loss, and most people have a strong sense of what feels helpful and what does not. I meet you as the expert of your own life, experiences, and story. My role is that of a professional companion walking alongside you. You decide what we focus on in our sessions. Together, we explore where you are right now and what you need.
Grief Support May Include
- identifying what helps create stability during an acute crisis
- exploring how to navigate the coming days, one step at a time
- breathing, crying, talking, laughing, or simply sitting in silence
- finding practical solutions to immediate challenges
- sharing and making sense of memories, thoughts, and feelings
- developing rituals that provide comfort and grounding in daily life
- learning about grief and grief processes to better understand your own experience
- creating a memorial space
- grief walks and conversations in nature
- visiting graves, memorial sites, or places of remembrance together
- support in dealing with a loved one’s belongings and legacy
- creatively decorating a coffin or urn with my guidance
- engaging with keepsakes and memories through creative processes
As a trained art therapist, I can also integrate creative grief work and art-therapeutic methods into our time together.

Additional Support Around Death, Loss & Farewell
Additional services that I offer as part of my grief support practice in Berlin and online:

Farewell at Home & Home Vigils
In many situations, it is possible to say goodbye to a deceased loved one at home or to hold a home vigil. I can offer practical, emotional, and informational support throughout the process.

Decorating an Urn or Coffin
Taking part in the creative design of an urn or coffin can be a meaningful and healing experience. I can help you bring your ideas and wishes to life.

Creative Grief Work
As a trained art therapist, I integrate the transformative power of creative expression and art-therapeutic methods into my grief support practice.

Sorting Through a Loved One’s Belongings and Estate
Sorting through a loved one’s belongings, managing an estate, or clearing out a home is not only a practical task but often an emotional one as well. I offer both practical and emotional support throughout this process.

Pet Loss Grief Support
Grief following the loss of a companion animal is often underestimated, yet it is real and can be profoundly painful. I offer support not only after a loss has occurred, but also when a beloved animal is seriously ill, approaching the end of life, or when a loss is anticipated.

Grief Support for Businesses and Organisations
Navigating grief in the workplace can be a significant challenge for organisations. When a colleague dies, it can profoundly affect the entire team and disrupt the everyday flow of work.
I support businesses and organisations in responding to loss with care, compassion, and practical guidance, helping teams navigate grief and the changes that accompany it.
